Applications and classification of aluminium sheets

Applications of aluminium sheets:

1. lighting 2. solar reflectors 3. architectural appearance 4. interior decoration: ceilings, walls, etc. 5. furniture, cabinets 6. lifts 7. signs, nameplates, bags 8. interior and exterior decoration of cars 9. household appliances: refrigerators, microwave ovens, audio equipment, etc. 10. aerospace and military aspects, such as China's current large aircraft manufacturing, spacecraft series, satellites, etc.

Classification of aluminium sheets:

1. Aluminium sheets are classified according to their alloy composition: high purity aluminium sheets, pure aluminium sheets, aluminium alloy sheets, aluminium composite sheets or aluminium sheets that are not welded, aluminium clad sheets.

2. Divided by thickness: (in mm)

Aluminium sheet 0.15-2.0

Regular sheets (aluminium sheet) 2.0-6.0

Medium plate 6.0-25.0

Thick plate 25-200

Extra thick plate 200 or more.

Classification of aluminium sheets by condition:

1: F: Free processing state is suitable for products with no special requirements for work hardening and heat treatment conditions during the forming process.

The mechanical properties of the products in this state are not specified.

2: O: annealed state for processed products with minimum strength obtained by complete annealing

3: H: for products with increased strength through work hardening, which may or may not be subjected to an additional heat treatment that reduces the strength after work hardening. The code must be followed by two or three Arabic numerals.

4: W: solution heat treatment state an unstable state, only applicable to the solution heat treatment, room temperature natural aging of the alloy, the state code only indicates that the product is in the natural aging stage.

5: T: heat treatment state (different from F, O, H) applies to heat treatment, after (or not after) processing hardening to achieve a stable state of the product, T code must be followed by one or more Arabic numerals.
