Today we are going to introduce the water-repellent and self-lubricating aluminium foils. Now let's learn about it together!
Hydrophobic aluminium foils
Water-repellent aluminium foil, also known as water-repellent aluminium foil, has the opposite surface properties of hydrophilic aluminium foil. The contact angle between the condensate condensing on the surface of the foil and the foil is large, generally above 75. The larger the angle, the better the water repellent performance. The ultimate aim of using water-repellent aluminium foil is the same as hydrophilic aluminium foil, i.e. not to allow condensate to remain between the heat exchangers. The difference is that by increasing the contact angle between the condensate and the heat exchanger, the condensate is removed from the heat exchanger by forming a water droplet that slides off easily.
Self-lubricating aluminium foil
Air conditioner heat exchangers are generally manufactured by adding lubricant to the surface, then punching and turning the edges, and finally washing the lubricant away with trichloroethylene. As trichloroethylene is harmful to the human body, self-lubricating aluminium foil has been developed to reduce this process. Self-lubricating aluminium foil, as the name suggests, does not require separate lubrication during the punching process, the lubrication for the punching being carried out by a pre-treated film on the surface of the foil. Since no special lubrication is required, the subsequent trichloroethylene cleaning and drying process is also eliminated.
