Without surface treatment, the 3A21 aluminium alloy has relatively good corrosion resistance, high mechanical properties such as strength and elongation, and high hardness. Which alloy is chosen depends mainly on the final mechanical properties that the material can achieve and the ease of the process. If the 1100 aluminium alloy of higher purity is easier to calender, while the 8011 alloy is more difficult.
