　　China's total aluminium consumption in 2005 was 7.105 million tonnes, accounting for 22.29% of the world's total aluminium consumption of 31.87 million tonnes in 2005. China's per capita aluminium consumption is only 4.2 kg/person, compared to 30 kg/person in the US and Japan.
