How are aluminium surfaces finished? Aluminium alloy has long existed in life, but in recent years it has become a representative of the high-fashion world through the application of high-tech products. In particular, it has been highlighted in the competition for mobile phone design over the past few years, with Apple, Samsung, Meizu, Xiaomi, Huawei and others putting a lot of effort into the use of the material and its processing. Today we introduce the various processing methods for this material.
Aluminium is the first to be used by various manufacturers because of its easy processing, good visual effect and rich surface treatment methods. The surface treatment of aluminium profiles is mainly divided into: sandblasting (forming a matt pearl silver surface), polishing (forming a mirror surface), brushing (forming a satin-like effect), electroplating (covering a layer of other metals), spraying (covering other non-metallic coatings)
1、Sandblasting
Sandblasting is the use of compressed air as the power to form a high-speed jet beam to spray material (copper ore, quartz sand, emery, iron sand, sea sand) at high speed to the surface of the workpiece to be treated, so that the appearance or shape of the surface of the workpiece is changed.
Sandblasting has strong applications in both engineering and surface processes, such as: improving the viscosity of bonded parts, decontamination, optimising surface burrs after machining, and surface matting.
The sandblasting process is more uniform and efficient than hand polishing, and this method of stainless steel treatment creates a low-profile, durable product.
2、Polishing
Polishing process is mainly divided into: mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, electrolytic polishing.
Aluminium parts using mechanical polishing + electrolytic polishing can be close to the stainless steel mirror effect, giving a high-grade simple, fashionable future feeling
3、Drawing
Metal drawing is the manufacturing process of repeatedly using sandpaper to scrape out the lines of the aluminium plate. Wire drawing can be divided into straight wire drawing, messy wire drawing, rotary wire drawing and threaded wire drawing.
