As for electrolytic polishing without chromic anhydride, many articles have listed a number of formulas, mostly in phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid-based polishing solution with some organic acids (such as citric acid, tartaric acid, oxalic acid) or alcohols (such as ethanol, butanol, glycerin), etc., in order to try to replace chromic anhydride by these additives on the surface of aluminum corrosion-polishing effect. However, after testing, such formulations have high costs and poor electrolyte stability, which makes it difficult to promote the use in large industrial production.
