In order to reduce the oxidation of aluminium melt, gas absorption and dissolution of iron, the residence time of aluminium melt in the furnace should be shortened as much as possible and melted quickly. From the start of melting to the end of pouring, sand casting should take no more than 4 hours, metal casting no more than 6 hours and die casting no more than 8 hours.

In order to accelerate the melting process, you should first add the medium block, melting point lower back to the furnace and aluminium-silicon intermediate alloy, in order to accompany the crucible bottom to form a molten pool as soon as possible, and then add the larger block back to the furnace and pure aluminium ingot, so that they can slowly dip into the gradually expanding molten pool, soon melt. After the main part of the charge has melted, the intermediate alloys with a high melting point and a small quantity are added, warmed up and stirred to accelerate the melting. Finally, the temperature is lowered and the alloying elements, which are susceptible to oxidation, are pressed in to reduce losses.
