Also known as 4-series aluminium alloy, aluminium-silicon alloy is an aerospace aluminium alloy. Although we do not sell 4-series aluminium sheets at the moment, we do offer other aerospace aluminium products such as 2-series and 7-series aluminium alloys or aerospace aluminium sheets for sale.

Silicon aluminium alloy is a binary alloy consisting of silicon and aluminium. It is an alloy used primarily in aerospace, space technology and portable electronics. The silicon aluminium alloy material can maintain the excellent performance of silicon and aluminium respectively, and the content of silicon and aluminium is quite rich, the preparation technology of silicon powder is mature and the cost is low, at the same time this material is not polluting to the environment and harmless to human body. The density of silicon aluminium alloy is between 2.4 and 2.7 g/cm³, and the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) is between 7 and 20 ppm/°C. Increasing the silicon content can significantly reduce the density and coefficient of thermal expansion of the alloy material. At the same time, silicon aluminium alloy also has good thermal conductivity, high specific strength and stiffness, good plating performance with gold, silver, copper and nickel, solderable with the base material, easy to precision machining and other superior performance, is a promising application of electronic packaging materials, especially in aerospace, space technology and portable electronic devices and other high technology fields.
