To ensure correct cleanroom standard connections between profiles, connections must be created using as few barrier profiles as possible. Cleanrooms for aluminium storage must be easy to clean properly and free from unnecessary edges or corners where particles can accumulate.

The aluminium storage cleanroom fastener is an important part of the project. It is made of stainless steel and allows clean connection of Series 40 cleanroom profile components without twisting. The anti-twist device is clamped to the surface of the profile fitted with a threaded insert and tightened by means of a ø10 mm drill hole in the opposite profile. The holes are then sealed cleanly with plugs or stickers.

Again, the tension plug with thrust element is suitable for cleanrooms as it does not need to be inserted into the profile surface. It is simply inserted into the open slot in the cleanroom profile and tightened through the 10 mm hole drilled in the opposite profile. The holes are then sealed with plugs or stickers.

Mounting the attachment with a stainless steel swivel nut is easy. A spring plate holds the nut in the open slot of the cleanroom where the aluminium plate is stored so that it can also be used in a vertical position.

Seals and end caps

As an alternative or retrofit solution for cleanrooms with aluminium storage, the system slots of standard profiles can also be sealed with sealing strips. This also acts as a barrier against dirt build-up. After hammering, the aluminium sealing strips are seamlessly embedded in the slots. The sealing strips are available in a range of different coloured plastics to provide visual highlights and/or draw attention to supply lines that may be located underneath the sealing strips.

Plastic end caps are used to seal the surface of the profile. The end caps can be fixed to the profile by inserting them into the ends, thus creating a clean seal and one with a good appearance. The end caps also prevent sharp cutting surfaces.
