Selection of materials and surface treatment of aluminium panels for curtain walls

Aluminium sheet is a sheet material made of aluminium or aluminium alloy material. Or is manufactured from flat aluminium embryo by the process of heating, rolling and straightening or solid solution ageing heat and other manufacturing of plate aluminum products.

The aluminium sheet used in construction includes single-layer aluminium sheet, composite aluminium sheet and other materials, generally often refers to single-layer aluminium sheet (also called single aluminium sheet or pure aluminium sheet), mostly used in building decoration projects, in recent years in the aluminium curtain wall single-layer aluminium sheet used more common. Aluminium curtain wall is also a form of curtain wall, simply put, is made of aluminium instead of glass curtain wall, aluminium curtain wall is mostly used for wall shelter and not light walls.

The international aluminium curtain wall has been selected single-layer aluminium plate. Single-layer aluminium plate is generally used pure aluminium plate. Aluminum plate thickness of 3mm, in order to strengthen the aluminum plate surface strength, in the back of the aluminum plate, must be installed to strengthen the tendons (existing manufacturers upset), strengthen the tendons with thick aluminum strip made, first with a flash welding machine to a screw cap welded in the back of the aluminum plate and then the aluminum strip for the strengthening of the drill set into the screw, fixed with screws. In order to reduce the weight of the aluminium plate and increase the strength of the plate, we use aluminium alloy plates, often choosing 21 rust-proof aluminium code LF21 pressed into the aluminium plate for the curtain wall. The thickness of the aluminium plate is reduced from the original 3mm to 2.5mm, the strength of the alloy is about double than the pure aluminium plate. LF21 aluminium strip is used for reinforcement, the width and thickness of the aluminium strip is determined according to the aluminium plate surface, generally 2-2.5mm thick and 10-25mm wide.
