1、Composition difference.

In 6061 aluminum sheets specification aluminum alloy, aluminum alloy element accounts for 97.9%, magnesium element accounts for 1%, silicon element accounts for 0.6% in addition there is added 0.28% copper with 0.2% chromium. 7075 aluminum alloy composition roughly includes 5.6-6.1% 2.1-2.5% zinc, magnesium 1.2-1.6% copper, less than half a percentage point, silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, and other metal. 7075-O, 7075-T6, 7075-T651.

2. Hardness difference.

6061 hardness in 90HB. 7075 aluminum sheets hardness up to 150HB.

3、Series difference.

6061 belongs to 6000 series aluminium alloy, which is a magnesium-silicon alloy. 7075 belongs to 7000 series aluminium alloy, which is a zinc-magnesium aluminium alloy.

4、Use difference.

Because of the price of 6061 aluminum sheets, all kinds of places that need to use aluminum alloy materials with low requirements can use 6061 material, while 7075 and 7005 are usually used in aerospace and aviation, high hardness requirements and small density requirements for commercial use, so 7075 usually also becomes a commercial aluminum alloy.

5、Price difference.

6061 price is generally lower than 7075 price, so 6061 is relatively higher sales, while 7075 is less sales than 6061 aluminum sheets because of the price.
