The difference between 1060-O aluminium sheet and 1060-H24 aluminium sheet

1060 aluminium sheet is a pure aluminium alloy with an aluminium content of 99.6% and is a commonly used aluminium alloy. The good elongation as well as the tensile strength make the inexpensive 1060 aluminium sheet highly appreciated in the market. We often hear customers ask what the difference between 1060-O aluminium sheet and 1060-H24 aluminium sheet is.

First of all, we should know that O state is a state of aluminium sheet, which is the product after annealing. The same grade of aluminium alloy is divided into O-state and H-state in two different forms.

In terms of production process: O-state aluminium sheets are formed after complete annealing and crystallisation, while H24 is an incomplete annealed state after hardening.

In terms of physical properties: the O state aluminium sheet is softer, while the H24 state aluminium sheet is harder than the O state. In other words, the hardness of 1060 aluminium sheet in the H24 state is greater than that of 1060 aluminium sheet in the O state.

From the use of the scope: because the O state aluminium plate is relatively soft, so easy to bend and deep drawing, mainly used for decoration, packaging, and other industries. H24 state is harder, can be drawn, shear, bending, generally used in the curtain wall, mechanical processing and other industries more.
