Age-hardening treatment is the most important heat treatment for aluminium alloys and is an important way to improve the organisation and properties of the alloy. After the heat treatment of aged alloys, the strength is 5?6 times higher in solid solution and recrystallisation, the residual stresses of compression are eliminated and the alloying elements become homogeneous. 6063-T5, 6063-T6 aluminium alloy profiles must be aged after treatment.

Some extruded profiles without ageing treatment occur after oxidative colouring of grey patches or parts that cannot be coloured and have a high scrap rate, it is not uniform microstructure, residual stresses and other factors of elemental segregation. So this is no good without ageing treatment.

The temperature and time of the ageing treatment depends on the alloy type, the alloying elements and the content of the change. If not selected properly, these parameters will also lead to differences in the structure and surface condition of the alloy, thus affecting the quality of the oxide colouring.

Mould problems]

The surface finish of the mould directly affects the surface state of the aluminium. The early introduction of imported mould lines, smooth and glossy products are good, and then with this factory or outsourced processing of moulds, the quality of appearance will be reduced. In the spit, slotting, colour oxidation colouring sense and lustre uneven thickness distribution is different. The poor quality of the domestic line of moulds is also one of the reasons for the overall quality.
