The basic state of aluminium sheet is divided into 5 types, which are F, O, H, T and W. These 5 states represent the 5 treatment processes and stages of aluminium sheet, and the performance and price of aluminium sheet in different states will have great differences. F-state

F state is also known as the free processing state, F state aluminum plate mechanical and chemical properties are not clearly defined, the purchase of F state aluminum plate customers, generally have special requirements for aluminum plate performance, in the purchase will be their own processing hardening and heat treatment required to get the required mechanical and chemical properties.

O-state

The O state is also known as the fully annealed state. The O state is not subdivided into states and refers to aluminium sheet products that have only been fully annealed to obtain the lowest strength.

H-state

The H state is also known as the work-hardened state, representing aluminium sheets that have been work-hardened to improve their strength. H state has many sub-states, such as H18 state, followed by 1 and 8, the first number represents the treatment process: 1 is work-hardened, 2 is incomplete annealing after processing, 3 is low temperature annealing after processing; the second number represents the hardness: 1-8, 1 is the lowest, 8 is the highest.

T-state

T-state refers to the heat treatment state of the aluminium sheet, indicating that the sheet has been work hardened to achieve stability. t-state has subdivided states, representing different treatment processes, the state from T0 all the way to T10. t-state, Tx51 represents the elimination of internal stress, such as T6 state, after the elimination of internal stress, indicated as T651.

W-state

W state refers to the solution heat treatment state, W state is an unstable state, indicating that the aluminium sheet is in natural aging at room temperature after solution treatment, W state simply indicates that the aluminium sheet is in the natural aging stage.
