1. 6082 composition, properties and uses:

6082 aluminum alloy and 6061 belong to Al-Mg-Si series heat-treatable reinforced aluminum alloy, with good extrusion processing and forging performance, good anodic oxidation and corrosion resistance. It has good formability, weldability, machinability, and at the same time, it has medium strength and can maintain good operability after annealing. 6082 is mainly used in mechanical structures, including bars, plates, pipes and profiles. The 6082 aluminum plate for sale has mechanical properties similar to but not completely similar to the 6061 alloy: its T6 state has brighter mechanical properties. The O and T4 states of the 6082 aluminum plates are suitable for bending and forming field meeting bases and the T6 state is suitable for good mechanical requirements such as workability. 2. Discussion on extrusion process:

1. Extrusion process of 6082 aluminum plates:

(1) Heating temperature of aluminum rod: 6082 has large deformation resistance, so the temperature of aluminum rod should be on the upper limit (480-500C or 490-520C):

(2) The mold temperature should also be 430-450C higher;

(3) The extrusion temperature is 415-435C;

(4) In order to prevent tail shrinkage or the involvement of air bubbles, oxide skin and impurities, the excess pressure should be left longer.

2. Solution treatment of 6082 aluminum plates for sale:

(1) If the main strengthening phase Mg2Si of the 6082 alloy is completely solid solution, the quenching temperature must be guaranteed to be above 500C, so the extrusion outlet temperature of the profile should be controlled at 500-530C;

(2) 6082 alloy has high quenching sensitivity. The alloy contains Mn, which promotes the formation of intragranular intermetallic compounds and has an adverse effect on the quenching performance. The 6082 aluminum plate requires high quenching cooling strength and fast cooling speed. It must be quenched by water (preferably through the quenching sensitive temperature zone of 250-440C at a cooling rate of more than 15C/s) to quickly reduce its temperature to below 50C.

(6) After the profile is sawed, the frame should be kept at a certain interval, and it should not be too dense.
