Aluminium sheet applications are expanding

Aluminium sheet applications are expanding from the high end of the market to the middle and low end recently years. Aluminium sheets can be divided into pure aluminium sheets and alloy aluminium sheets, which can be divided into: aluminium-manganese alloy (3003), aluminium-magnesium alloy (5052,5754,5083) and 6061 alloy aluminium sheets.

With better performance than steel and only a third of the weight of steel in the same volume, and with very good plasticity, aluminium has always been a favourite in high-end manufacturing. Many of the parts we see in luxury saloons, sports cars and racing cars are aluminium alloy products. But all along, due to the high price of aluminium sheet and the lack of high-end aluminium sheet production capacity, aluminium sheet, a high performance material, can only be used in high-end manufacturing and insulated from the general public.

If half of the global steel consumption is replaced by aluminium sheets, the energy saved and the greenhouse gas emissions reduced cannot be measured in money, so aluminium sheets have a very important strategic value. The aluminium industry is a strategic pillar of all major countries in the world, and the production capacity and performance of aluminium sheets have been rising in recent years.
